When you begin to look for home transcription work you will find that most potential clients will want you to perform a test transcription of an audio file they provide to you. This is what I call a transcription "audition."
This is good news! Why? The audition is your opportunity to shine! Good transcriptionists are very difficult to find. If you can turn in an excellent audition transcript it will mean more to your prospective clients than your resume, past experience, or references.
