TRANSCRIBERS:
We are currently seeking e-mailed resumes for a transcriber/typist position. You must be able to type 85 to 100+ words per minute accurately. You will be listening to audio and typing it.
You MUST have prior transcription experience, be competent, very fast, and accurate.
This is a part time independent contractor position where you telecommute. You must have an e-mail account, and a broadband connection is preferred. Preferably, you should have the capability to record audio from your phone line, but you must be able to transcribe digital files.
You should be detail oriented, computer proficient, know Microsoft Word, be a quick learner, and able to meet strict deadlines.
Accuracy and experience is a must. Please do not apply if you do not type the required speed or experience.
This position is perfect for those who are already home-transcribing and wish to pick up more work during the day. The work is typically available during the working days, only occasionally evenings and weekends.
Salary is approximately $90 per hour of audio ($0.0017 per character typed, including spaces), which must be completed within three to three and a half hours. Turnaround time is crucial on transcripts.
We do not offer on the job training for new hires at this time; this position is for experienced transcribers.
This is NOT medical transcription, but general business/technology.
