I am a freelance writer/journalist who uses interviews in many of my pieces. These interviews range from 40-90 minutes and are just me and the person I'm interviewing. I need very accurate transcriptions of these audio interviews to use as quotes and Q&A in my pieces.
Please be warned that many of my interviews contain frank discussion of adult and sexual topics. Please do not apply if you feel you may become offended or uncomfortable with explicit discussions of sexual topics.

It is about 1:45 of audio material. The price I can pay is 40 USD.
You do not need to indicate who is speaking, a simple – and a new paragraph to differentiate between the speakers is fine. The transcription must be excellent quality, so no spelling errors etc.
If there’s anything you do not understand, you can mark it yellow and I will look at it later.

I have approximately 10-12 hours of digital .wav files of interviews between myself and the subject of a book I am writing. All tapes are one-on-one interviews; some minor exceptions where there are 3 participants. I would have you use Sony Digital Player so it will match up to my player so I can notate the portions that need to be transcribed. The quality is excellent and you will have no trouble understanding. You don't have to have a foot pedal, as you can use a mouse to start/stop, but a pedal might be a little easier. Confidentiality Agreement must be signed, as this information is work product and the identity of the participants cannot be disclosed. I would like a quote per hour of recording. |

Once finished, I get to start my data analysis of community leader interviews about vulnerability to climate change. I paid a friend to help me with part of the work this spring, but she's started a new job and now I just need to get this DONE!
