We currently have need for a transcriptionist to work on a contract basis.
The Job
The job entails transcribing from audio recordings interviews of various high-tech subject matter experts. On average, the audio recordings are approximately 1-hour in length but can be less or more, but rarely exceeding 2 hours.
Job Requirements
1-2 years transcription experience preferred; own your own equipment; court reporting training highly desirable; attention to detail is a must; 48-hour turn-around is the norm for all submitted transcripts; thorough understanding of the English language and above average grammar skills; and the ability to proof work prior to submission. Final transcripts must conform to established template format. Must be computer literate as the flow of work assignments and time tracking will be conducted via a Web portal.
