Work at home, flexible hours. We are seeking transcribers who have extensive transcription experience ranging from interviews, documentaries, focus groups, and presentations. Subjects vary from politics and healthcare, to celebrities and European history. You should be able to type a minimum of 85 wpm, have MS word with good knowledge of its capabilities (formatting, etc); have digital transcription equipment with foot pedal (or are willing to purchase same); have good grammar and punctuation skills; ability to work independently; are a fast learner; have general knowledge of world or newsworthy events; be absolutely dependable; are open to suggestions/criticism; able to work 20 hours per week; available during normal working hours (8 to 5 typically). You should have high speed or DSL connection; stereo headphones; good sound card and good speakers. Absolutely should have an ear for transcription and able to follow instructions as directed. Candidates with experience in deciphering poor quality files, accents, grammatically challenged speakers, mumblers and the like are likely to be considered first. Our work is typically of good quality however. Work is steady for enthusiastic, fast, dedicated typists. $15/hour to start. You will be tested regardless of skill level. Send COVER LETTER and resume.
