I need a fast typist who can take regular-sized audio cassettes and transcribe recorded conversations. I am a journalist who will be interviewing individuals in order to write their life stories. I want to contract out the transcription portion of this process. Please give me a quote on what you would charge per unit of time on tape (not per word). For example, what would you charge per half hour of recorded conversation? And what kind of turnaround time could I expect? Also, please let me know if you are reliable and a good speller. In addition, you will need Internet capability so you can send me Word files containing the unedited transcripts. This could be a great work-at-home opportunity for the right person.
