Looking for transcriptionist/editors who can listen to an audio file of an interview with a person and then write their "cleaned up" first person narrative in text form. For example, the transcriptionist/editor will listen to a two hour interview and transcribe what they hear not "word for word" but subject to "common sense clarification. "I was, ah, you know, born, I think, huh, near Dallas" would be transcribed as "I was born near Dallas" and so on. These are "personal history accounts" that are being transformed into books.
Applicant must be diligent, organized and respectful of deadlines.
Work from home on a piece rate basis. We will pay $50 per audio hour thus transcribed and edited. (It takes most people three to four hours to transcribe an hour of audio).
Must have your own computer with speakers or headphone and internet access.
