This position supports the Physicians to act as a scribe in patient encounters. Transcribes oral physician comments during clinical patient encounter into EMR using appropriate medical terminology. Assesses, with physician, appropriate CPT and DX coding for encounter, obtains physician sign off, reviews and creates claims. Interfaces with medical assistants and RNs associated with Physicians for inclusion in chart notes of scheduled procedures and RXs for any necessary EMR documentation. Acts as support and liaison to providers for Lead Billing Specialist, to include support to providers for coding and charting accuracy.
