The Medical Transcriber is responsible and accountable for all medical reports and tests needing transcribed. Beginning typing speed must be a minimum of 80 words per minute and reports must be 95% error free based on no more than 2 mistakes per full typed page. All transcribers are responsible for being able to type any report; these include H&Ps Discharge Sums Consults X-Ray Echos EEGs/EKGs Stress Tests Operative procedure reports Path reports Holters Stats etc. from any physician. Must be able to use word processor.
