Job Description: NONSTOP WORK!! MULTISPECIALITY CLINIC TRANSCRIPTION. Chronicle Transcripts is continuing to hire experienced transcriptionists for a very busy multispecialty outpatient clinic. The current positions open are full-time employee status with Sunday-Thursday and/or Monday-Friday shifts. Part-time positions available with a minimum of 25 hours a week/3750 lines per week. Your main work type will be clinic progress notes (80%); you may also transcribe some ER and/or discharge summaries (20%). To qualify for these positions you must have at least 3 years experience transcribing acute care and/or transcribing for a multispecialty clinic with multiple dictators and dialects. We are currently unable to hire new graduates without experience at this time. You must be able to accurately transcribe all types of dictation, from simple to those more complicated, including ESL, though this is a low ESL account.

HARDWARE/SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS: A newer computer system with Windows XP or Vista, a MINIMUM processor speed of 1.8 GHZ and 512 MB RAM, a video card that supports a minimum resolution of 1024 x 728, a sound blaster/sound blaster compatible sound card, and an available USB port.

No dial-up or satellite connections. It is highly recommended that you have an updated virus scanner and keep it updated. You need to be competent using email with MS Outlook or Outlook Express and resourceful at navigating the Internet as a research tool.
