Required Experience:
This position is responsible for the timely and accurate transcription of physician dictated reports which consist of highly specialized and complex terminology and anatomical terms. The individual may be responsible for working remotely, which requires transcribing independently, without direct supervision. When transcribing at the hospital, the individual works independently with little supervision and without assistance form co-workers in deciphering various dialects.
Required:
High school diploma or GED. Two to three years of transcription experience in an acute care hospital or other relevant experience required.
Skills:
Ability to transcribe 1000 HIM lines (65 character line) or 2000 MI lines (65 character line) per day, with 98% accuracy. Ability to decipher various accents and dialects.
