Req. Hardware/Software: MTs are required to use their own computer. Transcend/MDI will provide software download and will supply the foot pedal if needed.
Method of Sending/Receiving files: Candidates MUST have access to high-speed Internet (DSL or cable modem), Dialup WILL NOT work.
Job Description: ACUTE CARE MTs NEEDED
Transcend Services and MDI-FL need experienced acute care MTs with 3 or more years of acute care for existing accounts, as well as a new Chicago-area based hospital. All schedules needed. MTs MUST provide their own computer equipment and have high-speed Internet. We will install software and provide an appropriate foot pedal if needed.
We are hiring for the following positions:
Acute Care MLS with ExText experience. Offering premium line rates for MTs with ExText experience.
Acute care MLS working on BeyondTXT (proprietary Internet-based platform). Transcend accounts will allow MT to type and edit on our voice recognition platform. MDI transcription does NOT include Voice Recognition - all MDI accounts are TRANSCRIPTION only.
Acute care MLS working on Meditech and AIM accounts. MUST have 2 phone lines and high-speed Internet.
Acute care MLS working on eScription platform to edit voice recognition drafts.
Acute care MLS working in Word or Word Perfect. Must have 2 phone lines.
Minimum Equipment Requirements Are:
Pentium (4) 2.8 GHz or equivalent - XP Home Edition is fine
512 MB of RAM or better
5 GB of free disk space or better
Windows XP Pro Service Pack 1 or newer

Monitor
Mouse
Keyboard
Sound card
Game port for foot pedal (15-pin)
Foot pedal that connects to the game port OR USB foot pedal (as mentioned above, can be provided by MDI).
