Sentara Obici Hospital is seeking an Experienced Medical Transcriptionist to join our team of professionals Full Time. Pay based on per line production. Computer as well as Internet access will be provided!
Due to Technology Requirements- We are unable to consider applicants who live outside of the Hampton Roads Area.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Two years of experience as a medical transcriptionist in an acute care setting or completion of an accredited transcription program with an extensive externship in an acute care setting.
Other: Medical terminology, computer keyboard skills, ability to understand diverse accents and dialects and varying dictation styles, ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and ability to work under pressure with time constraints.
Testing will be required.
