AT-HOME TRANSCRIPTIONIST
DUTIES: Position will transcribe outpatient surgery medical reports from physician dictation recording. Transcription occurs using personal computer and high-speed internet access from home. Reports to be transcribed include history and physicals and operative reports for multiple specialties, including ENT, OB/GYN, orthopedic, podiatry, GI, GU, ophthalmology, pain management, oral maxillofacial, plastic, and general surgery that will be filed in the patient's medical record.
EXPERIENCE: At least two years previous medical transcription and Microsoft Word experience required. Fluent in Medical terminology and Anatomy terms. Previous operative note experience, especially in hospital setting, a plus.
TESTING: Transcription testing.
SKILLS: A successful candidate will be a good typist and be able to meet deadlines. Flexible hours - must be 40 hours per week.
