This position is responsible for interpreting and transcribing dictation by physicians and other members of the healthcare team. Requires 2 years’ experience in acute hospital transcription and the proven ability to accurately transcribe medical dictation at 125 lines per hour on a daily basis. Strong knowledge of English grammar, spelling, editing, composition and formatting of medical reports is necessary. Specialized background in transcribing general medicine, radiology and/or pathology transcription is preferred.
