* Evening shift w/weekend rotation
* High school diploma or equivalent is required
* Computer skills required

General Summary: Provide medical transcription services for all clinical reports, i.e., history, physicals, operative reports, and discharge summaries, to meet the documentation requirements of JCAHO and medical staff bylaws. Edit clinical reports for English usage, grammar, punctuation, and medical terminology. Utilize Chartscript and Lanier Voice Manager systems to produce accurate and timely transcription.
Minimum Requirements: High school graduate. One year’s transcription experience in a medical facility. Ability to transcribe medical/surgical reports with minimal errors and at a rate of at least 7,500 characters/hour (8,000 characters/hour for at-home transcriptionist).
