We are a well-established transcription company based in Covington LA. We are looking for additional transcriptionists to join our team. This is a contract position and you are paid by production. All work is done over the internet. We handle Legal and Corporate Transcription, Interviews, Meetings, Seminars and Lectures. These are NOT entry level, Intern or training positions.
We are looking for experienced legal and corporate transcriptionists. You must be wiling to transcribe audio files with multiple speakers. You must have an above average command of english and english grammar. You must be experienced in searching the internet for information, so that you can research correct spelling of terms, people and place names. You must be able to type at least 50wpm. We will test you before you can being considered. In most cases, you will make more than medical transcriptionists because the work is not easy.
All work is done on your computer with access and transfers via the internet. Since this is a contract position, you set your availability times. Of course, the more you are available when work is available the more you will make.
You must have:
A computer that will allow you to run numerous applications simultaneously.
Windows or Apple Computer (OS-X 10.4 or better).
Microsoft Word (preferably 2003 or 2007) or Apple Pages.
USB Foot pedal. (available online or we sell at cast)
Professional transcription headsets, preferably Noise Canceling. (available online or we sell at cast)

You are paid by minute of audio you type. It will equate to 8.5 to 11. cents per line depending on difficulty of the work
